SIM cards can establish a connection with the internet. However, we recommend you use a WiFi router if you plan to visit various sightseeing locations and use the internet a lot while traveling around.

SIM Cards just started being sold in Japan, so finding them can be challenging. Also, they may not be compatible with some smartphones.

However, the main issue is that SIM cards only allow you to use a bare minimum connection with the internet due to slow transmission rates and a small amount of data usage per day.
